Final Scenes of Fantastic Four: First Steps: Does Galactus Survive?

According to CinemaDrame news agency, The Fantastic Four have officially entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which hit theaters this week. Directed by Matt Shakman, the film introduces a brand-new cast for the iconic superhero team and marks the MCU debut of the towering 8.5-meter cosmic villain, Galactus.
Set in a retro-futuristic version of the 1960s, the story follows the Fantastic Four as astronauts preparing for a space mission that will change their lives forever. Pedro Pascal stars as Reed Richards, also known as Mister Fantastic; Joseph Quinn plays Johnny Storm, the Human Torch; Vanessa Kirby appears as Sue Storm, the Invisible Woman; and Ebon Moss-Bachrach takes on the role of Ben Grimm, aka The Thing.
The film also features Julia Garner as Shalla-Bal, Paul Walter Hauser as The Mole Man, and The Green Knight portraying Galactus.
First Steps kicks off Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is set to conclude in 2027 with Avengers: Secret Wars. It follows the end of Phase Five, which wrapped with the Disney+ series Ironheart.

The final scenes of Fantastic Four: First Steps carry significant meaning. After the Silver Surfer, played by Julia Garner, destroys all means of access except one in New York’s Times Square, the members of the Fantastic Four devise a new plan to prevent Earth’s destruction by Galactus. They turn Franklin, the son of Reed Richards and Sue Storm, into bait to lure Galactus to Times Square and attempt to transport him away from Earth. However, Galactus scans the city and realizes that Johnny Storm has taken the baby back to the team’s headquarters, derailing the plan.

Galactus approaches the headquarters to seize the baby, but Sue Storm uses her powers to direct him toward the portal, while Reed Richards tries to save the child. As Sue loses consciousness, Galactus threatens to return, prompting Johnny Storm to race toward the portal in an attempt to sacrifice himself. The Silver Surfer—also known as Shalla-Bal—intervenes and sacrifices herself instead. Having realized the error of her loyalty to Galactus, she makes this choice to atone.
As Galactus and the Silver Surfer disappear into the portal, Reed Richards, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm rush to Sue Storm, who lies unconscious in the street. In a moment of desperation, Reed places Franklin on Sue’s chest and watches as the baby’s mysterious powers revive his mother. The team then celebrates their victory.

Does Galactus survive?
Galactus is transported to an unknown realm far from Earth, and given that he is one of Marvel’s iconic supervillains, it is expected that he is still alive and will return in future Marvel films.

Post-Credit Scenes
The true ending of First Steps unfolds in the post-credit scenes. In these scenes, Sue Storm is seen caring for Franklin at the team’s headquarters, four years later. When Franklin is briefly left alone, a hooded man wearing a silver mask appears—Victor Von Doom, or Doctor Doom, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr., makes his entrance into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel had previously confirmed that the Fantastic Four characters will appear in Secret Wars.
