Aubrey Plaza to Play Hollywood Madam in “Heidi Fleiss Story”

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Aubrey Plaza will portray Heidi Fleiss—known as the “Hollywood Madam”—in the film The Heidi Fleiss Story. In the early 1990s, Fleiss ran one of the largest prostitution rings in the world and maintained connections with Hollywood figures, politicians, and other celebrities.

The project marks the feature directorial debut of Leah Rachel, creator of the Netflix series Chambers. The Heidi Fleiss Story is being produced by Pinky Promise, with Plaza also serving as one of the film’s producers. Rachel Sennott, star of Bodies Bodies Bodies, is co-writing the screenplay with Rachel and Travis Jackson.

The Heidi Fleiss Story will center on Fleiss’s trial in Los Angeles and the efforts made to have her case dismissed and the charges dropped. Filming is set to begin in Los Angeles in the coming months.

Plaza will soon be seen in Ethan Coen’s Honey Don’t for Legendary—opposite Chris Evans and Margaret Qualley—as well as Warner Bros.’ Animal Friends. She was last seen in Disney+’s Agatha All Along, and prior to that in Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis.

Since its founding five years ago, Pinky Promise has produced acclaimed films such as Bird and The Last Showgirl, and is currently developing the surreal romantic comedy Wishful Thinking, starring Lewis Pullman and Maya Hawke. The company will soon release Eleanor the Great, which marks Scarlett Johansson’s feature directorial debut.
