Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid, and Henry Golding Join Comedy Close Personal Friends

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid, and Henry Golding have joined the cast of Amazon MGM’s comedy Close Personal Friends, directed by Jason Orley. Filming will begin this September in London.
Orley, known for writing and directing Big Time Adolescence starring Pete Davidson, is best recognized for his multiple collaborations with the comedian. The screenplay for Close Personal Friends was written by Isaac Aptaker, based on a story by Aptaker and Orley.
Few details about the plot have been revealed, other than that it follows an ordinary couple on a trip to Santa Barbara who meet a famous couple. During the trip, the boundaries of their relationships begin to blur, leading to humorous situations and moments.
Orley and Aptaker previously collaborated in 2022 on the romantic comedy I Want You Back, starring Charlie Day and Jenny Slate.
Larson, best known for her role as Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the independent drama Room, recently starred in and executive produced Apple TV+’s Lessons in Chemistry, which earned her Emmy, SAG, Critics Choice, and Golden Globe nominations.
Quaid appeared this year in New Line’s sci-fi thriller Companion, Paramount’s action thriller Novocaine, and Amazon MGM’s action film Heads of State.
Collins is best known for Netflix’s Emily in Paris and was most recently seen in Ti West’s MaXXXine.
Golding rose to fame with Warner Bros.’ Crazy Rich Asians and has recently appeared in Guy Ritchie’s series The Gentlemen as well as Netflix’s The Old Guard 2.
