A memorial ceremony was held for contemporary poet Nader Naderpour

According to Cinemadrame, a memorial ceremony was held for the late Nader Naderpour at the Bozorgmehr Hakim Institute.

During the event, several speakers delivered speeches, including Mohammad Rasouli, a researcher in literature and Shahnameh studies, Azim Zarinkoob, Houshang Taleh, Manoochehr Pishva, and Hamid Tabrizi.

Azim Zarinkoob began by mentioning the timeline of Naderpour’s life and stated that honoring the names of great figures in culture and literature is a worthy and valuable act. He noted that figures like Rumi, Hafez, and Saadi are widely known, and perhaps there is less need for ceremonies in their honor. In contrast, more attention should be given to contemporary cultural and literary giants like Nader Naderpour, who are not as well recognized. He also expressed gratitude to those involved in organizing the event, particularly Dr. Mohammad Rasouli, who is a distinguished figure in the country’s culture.

Houshang Taleh, recalling his personal connection and friendship with Nader Naderpour during his youth, shared memories of literary gatherings from that era. He also mentioned some prominent cultural figures from the same period who attended a literary society called “Atashkadeh” that was formed around 1950.

Manoochehr Pishva, a veteran cultural activist, gave a detailed analysis of Naderpour’s poetry, stating that Naderpour could undoubtedly be regarded as the Saadi of our time. He emphasized that Naderpour’s poetry has a strength and fluidity that is not commonly seen in the works of other contemporary poets. He explained that, just like Saadi’s poetry cannot be altered without losing its structure and eloquence, Naderpour’s poetry shares similar qualities.

Hamid Tabrizi, another speaker, discussed the similarities between Naderpour’s poetry and that of Ahmad Shamloo (Akavan), expressing his appreciation for the effort to honor the great poets and literary figures.

During the event, Zahra Golsorkhi and Niko Qalemi recited poems, and Abolfazl Benan (Sufi), a poet and literary researcher, explained Naderpour’s poetry and read a ghazal of his own that was inspired by one of Naderpour’s verses.

At the conclusion of the event, Mohammad Rasouli summarized the discussion, stating that Naderpour’s poetry, in terms of form, meaning, essence, and content, is of significant value and importance. He emphasized that Naderpour was a patriotic individual who expressed his love for Iran in his poetry throughout his life, both in times of hardship and travel, with his love for Iran always being a central theme in his work.
