Anouk Aimée, the actress of the film La Dolce Vita, passed away at the age of 92.

According to cinemadrame, Anouk Aimée, the French actress whose real name was Nicole Françoise Florence Dreyfus and who appeared in Federico Fellini’s La Dolce Vita, has passed away at the age of 92. Her daughter confirmed her passing on Instagram. Born in Paris, Aimée appeared in over 70 films during her seven-decade-long career, which began at the age of 14.
Following La Dolce Vita, which established her as a “rising star,” Aimée worked with Fellini again in 8 1/2 and appeared in Lola directed by Jacques Demy. She later collaborated on Justine with George Cukor and Tragedy of a Ridiculous Man with Bernardo Bertolucci. Her performance in Claude Lelouch’s A Man and a Woman earned her a Golden Globe and a BAFTA for Best Actress, as well as an Oscar nomination.
In 1980, she won Best Actress for Marco Bellocchio’s A Leap in the Dark and received an honorary César Award from the French Academy in 2002. In a 1995 survey by Empire magazine, Aimée was named one of the 100 Sexiest Stars in cinema history.
In a 2007 interview with The Guardian, Aimée shared her acting secret: “Fellini taught me this: the most important thing is to listen, just listen to the other characters. And don’t take yourself too seriously.”
