“Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery” to Open London Film Festival
According to cinemadrame news agency, “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery,” written and directed by Rian Johnson, will open the 69th London Film Festival on October 8. The first and second installments of this mystery film were also screened at this festival.
Details of the film’s plot have not been revealed, but in addition to Daniel Craig reprising his role as detective Benoit Blanc, the cast of this sequel will include Mila Kunis, Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Andrew Scott, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Daryl McCormack, and Thomas Haden Church.
Kristy Matheson, director of the London Film Festival, stated that the involvement of British actors Daniel Craig and Josh O’Connor makes this a fitting choice for the opening: “Led by Daniel Craig and Josh O’Connor, this film brings together unparalleled British and international talent in front of and behind the camera, bringing a sense of spectacle and excitement to cinema, creating a twisty film that keeps the audience guessing until the last frame.”
“Wake Up Dead Man” will be released on Netflix on December 12.
