“Deep Crack” to Begin Screening in Iran on July 15th

According to cinemadrame News Agency, the film “Deep Crack” (Tark-e Amigh), written and directed by Arman Zarrinkoub and produced by Mohsen Chegini, is set to begin its theatrical run across Iran starting Wednesday, July 15th.

This psychodrama film features performances by Reza Babak, Golchehreh Sajadieh, and Babak Ansari. It was previously screened at the 43rd Fajr Film Festival.

Deep Crack” garnered four nominations at the Fajr Film Festival for Best First Film, Best Director, Best Music, and Best Cinematography. Prior to that, it had already achieved international recognition, winning awards and honors at various film festivals, including Best Director and Best Screenplay in the special section of the Asian Film Festival Barcelona.

The film’s plot revolves around an elderly man named Mahmoud, who has recently been discharged from a psychiatric hospital. Shortly after his return home, an uninvited guest disrupts his life with his wife, leading to the unraveling of dark secrets.
