Tom Holland: “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” Will Be Made Using Traditional Methods

According to cinemadrame News Agency, Tom Holland, in a new interview with Flick Your Wig, stated that Sony and Marvel’s film, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” will be produced outside of a studio and using traditional filmmaking methods.
He said, “In the previous film, we were really limiting ourselves because of COVID… Now we’re moving towards traditional filmmaking and shooting on real locations… We’re using the streets of Glasgow for these big scenes that have been designed.”
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” will be the fourth Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” has been tapped to direct. The screenplay is being written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. In addition to Tom Holland, the return of Zendaya and Jacob Batalon has been confirmed, with Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas appearing in undisclosed roles.
Filming for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” will begin in late July 2025 in London and is expected to continue into the fall. Sony Pictures will release “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” on July 31, 2026.
