“The Dandelion Girl” at Greek Festival

According to CinemaDrame news agency, The short film “The Dandelion Girl” has been selected for the 48th Drama International Short Film Festival in Greece.

“The Dandelion Girl,” written and directed by Azadeh Masihzadeh and produced by Razieh Gholami, has been chosen for the Children and Youth Competition section (KIDDO 2025) of the 48th Drama International Short Film Festival in its latest international appearance.

This event, an Oscar-qualifying festival, will take place from September 8 to 14, 2025, in the city of Drama, Greece.

For this edition, 3,714 films from around the world were submitted to the secretariat of the Drama International Short Film Festival, which is one of Europe’s prominent short film events. Ultimately, only 151 short films were selected across various sections.

“The Dandelion Girl” tells a part of the life story of a girl who, despite obstacles, enters the world of football and, through her perseverance on the field, disrupts the balance. With a metaphorical gaze, this film portrays the confrontation between truth and lies, and the honesty and resilience of the younger generation.

Tara Soroush, Benyam Afrangheh, and Abdollah Bahadori star in the film.
