The First Image from the Series Avatar: Seven Havens

According to CinemaDrame news agency, Nickelodeon has unveiled the first official image from the serious animated series Avatar: Seven Havens. This series serves as a sequel to the two beloved shows Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, with its first two seasons comprising 26 episodes. Avatar: Seven Havens was introduced at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, coinciding with the twentieth anniversary of Avatar.

The series follows earthbender twins, one of whom is the new Avatar. The story takes place in a world devastated by a catastrophic disaster, where a young girl, emerging after Korra’s era, discovers that she is the new Avatar. However, in this dangerous time, this role may not be that of a savior but possibly a destroyer. Pursued by both human and non-human enemies, she must uncover the secrets of her origins alongside her lost twin sister.

The released image shows the young Avatar alongside her pet, which appears to be a hybrid of a cat and a lemur, standing in a desert landscape.

The twentieth-anniversary celebration of Avatar featured voice actors from previous versions, including Janet Varney (Korra), Mae Whitman (Katara), Zach Tyler Eisen (Aang), Jack DeSena (Sokka), Michaela Jill Murphy (Toph), Jenny Kwan (Suki), Dante Basco (Zuko), Dee Bradley Baker (Appa), the series’ composer Jeremy Zuckerman, and creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino.

Seven Havens is not the only project currently in development in the Avatar universe. It was previously announced that the film The Legend of Aang: The Last Avatar is in production and will be released in theaters on October 9, 2026. The film’s voice cast includes Erik Nam as Aang, Jessica Matten as Katara, Roman Zaragoza as Sokka, Diane Quan as Toph, and Steven Yeun and Dave Bautista as antagonists.
