Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson’s Argument Scene in Marriage Story Used to Scare Off Wolves

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, the heated argument scene between Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver in the film Marriage Story is being used to keep wolves away from livestock herds. The Wall Street Journal has reported that the U.S. Department of Agriculture is using the audio from this scene to drive away hungry wolves.
According to the report, the U.S. Department of Agriculture has developed drones equipped with thermal cameras that, upon detecting wolves approaching in the dark, play sounds of gunfire and human arguments. One of the recorded sounds used is taken from the film Marriage Story, directed by Noah Baumbach.
The Wall Street Journal writes that the “wolf deterrence” trial was conducted in Oregon after wolves killed eleven cows within twenty days. However, after deploying the drones, only two cows were lost to wolves over the following eighty-five days.
In Marriage Story, which was released in 2019, Driver and Johansson play a couple navigating the complex process of separation. The film was nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor and Actress for Johansson and Driver.
