Alan Delon, the French cinema star, has passed away

Alan Delon, the French cinema star, passed away on Sunday, August 19, at the age of 88.
According to cinemadrame, the actor’s three children confirmed the news in an interview with Agence France-Presse. Alan Delon had been struggling with illness for several years. Due to his inability to manage his financial affairs, the French judiciary had appointed a guardian for him.
Delon was born in 1935 in the Hauts-de-Seine region, in the suburbs of Paris. In the years following World War II and alongside the boom of French cinema, he became one of the most captivating and seductive figures in the culture and arts of France and the world.
Films such as Mr. Klein, Rocco and His Brothers, Sunset Boulevard, The Red Circle, The Pool, and A Police Officer are among the many acclaimed films of Alan Delon. Throughout his long professional career, he starred in dozens of films and TV series.
In 2019, the Cannes Film Festival awarded him the honorary Palme d’Or in recognition of his lifetime artistic achievements.
Before becoming ill, in 2017, this French cinema icon had said he was ready to welcome death.
