Behind-the-Scenes Teaser for the Film Spider-Man: Brand New Day

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, a “teaser-behind-a-teaser” appears to be Sony Pictures’ marketing strategy for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” starring Tom Holland. Just one day after the studio unveiled a new nine-second teaser revealing Spider-Man’s new costume in the film—and before paparazzi could snap photos of Holland—another short behind-the-scenes teaser featuring the actor in the same suit was released. In this video, Holland says, “Ready?” flashes a smile at the camera, and walks off toward an unknown destination—perhaps a green screen, or blue.

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” will be the fourth Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, whose credits include “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.” The screenplay is being written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.

In addition to Tom Holland, the return of Zendaya and Jacob Batalon has been confirmed, while Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas will appear in undisclosed roles. The Hollywood Reporter has stated that Jon Bernthal will reprise his role as Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, and Michael Mando as Scorpion in this film.

Filming for the project has recently begun in London and is expected to continue through the fall. “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” will be the first Marvel Cinematic Universe film released after “Fantastic Four: First Steps.”

Tom Holland was last seen as Spidey in 2021’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” After defeating several villains from parallel universes, Doctor Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, cast a spell that caused the world to forget Spider-Man’s identity.

Sony Pictures will release “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” on July 31, 2026 (9 Mordad 1405).
