Blitz, the film by Steve McQueen, and Saoirse Ronan at the London Film Festival

According to Cinemadrame, Blitz, written and directed by Steve McQueen and starring Saoirse Ronan, will have its world premiere at the London Film Festival. This marks McQueen’s first time writing a screenplay on his own for this film.
The historical drama tells the story of a group of people during the London bombings in World War II. Blitz follows a mother who sends her son to a safe village, but upon returning, she cannot find him. The cast also includes Harris Dickinson, Lee Gill, Erin Kellyman, Stephen Graham, and Hayley Squiers.
The film’s premiere will take place on October 9 at the Royal Festival Hall in London. McQueen previously attended the festival in 2018 and 2020 with Widows and Mangrove.
Blitz will be released in limited cinemas starting November 1, and it will stream on Apple TV+ from November 22. The London Film Festival runs from October 9 to 20.
