Brad Pitt’s Mother Dies at 84
According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Jane Etta, mother of Brad Pitt, has passed away at the age of 84. The time and cause of her death have not been disclosed, but Sydney Pitt, one of Pitt’s relatives, confirmed on Instagram that her grandmother has passed away.
Etta met William Alvin Pitt at Oklahoma Baptist University, and they married in 1962. A year later, they welcomed Brad Pitt, who is one of their three children, along with Doug and Julie.
The Pitt family, who settled in Springfield, Missouri, encouraged the Fight Club and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor to join the church choir. In a 2017 interview with GQ magazine, Pitt said, “We grew up surrounded by cornfields.”
Pitt’s parents accompanied their now 61-year-old son on the red carpet several times, including at the 2012 Oscars. Jane Etta had fourteen grandchildren.
