According to cinemadrame, the opening ceremony of the play 2424, written and directed by Zari Emad and produced by Farhad Qaemian, was held at the “Khaleej Fars” Hall of the Niavaran Cultural Center with the presence of artists.

According to the media department of the project, 2424, which started its performances on June 10th at the “Khaleej Fars” Hall of the Niavaran Cultural Center, was inaugurated with the presence of artists such as Mohammad Hossein Latifi, a writer and director in cinema and television; Touraj Nasr, a voice actor; and Hossein Mesafar Astaneh, a writer, director, and actor in theater.

Mohammad Hossein Latifi, during the opening ceremony of the play, said: “Theater is truly the light of the arts, and we in cinema must also pay attention to the theater of our country. Your support, as an understanding audience, is very valuable and encouraging, and I am very pleased to witness this support.”

Then, Touraj Nasr, while accompanying the production team of the play, noted: “I am very happy to be among you esteemed individuals. I hope you enjoy this work thoroughly.”

In addition, Hossein Mesafar Astaneh also spoke, saying: “This play is a difficult and challenging work, and I don’t know what I am going to face, but I am certain that it will be a piece worthy of being seen by esteemed audiences like you. I believe that doing theater in these times is harder than at any other time. In general, the profession of theater is a tough and complex one, and in today’s world, it is even more so.”

Following this, Farhad Qaemian, at the invitation of Alireza Saeedi, the program host, said: “Thanks to you, the discerning theater audience, the lights of the Niavaran Cultural Center have been lit once again. It is with hope that, with your support and the backing of the Art Credit Fund, which has played a brilliant role in revitalizing this cultural center, the production team of this play, who have been working for several months on rehearsing a tough and challenging performance, will witness the presence of the audience.”

Qaemian added: “The team of the play 2424 has decided to dedicate each night’s performance to one of the talented women of our land. On the opening ceremony and the first night of the performance, we dedicate tonight’s show to Lady Pari Saberi, a brilliant theater director and playwright of our country, with the hope that her noble presence will always be a guiding force over us and the art of Iran. I also hope that, with your support, dear and cultured audience, the light of theater will continue to shine.”

After the performance, Zari Emad, the writer and director of the play, expressed her gratitude for the audience’s presence, saying: “There are dear artists among us whose presence at the opening ceremony of this play has been a great source of strength for me and the entire 2424 team. Artists such as Mohammad Hossein Latifi, Hossein Mesafar Astaneh, and Touraj Nasr, who were with us at the beginning of this journey. I also thank the management of the Niavaran Cultural Center, particularly Mohsen Khatami, who has been devotedly by our side, and in addition, the respected management of the Art Credit Fund, Seyed Majid Poorahmadi, without whose unwavering support, this work would not have made it to the stage.”

She continued: “A theater group spends 9 months of rehearsal and effort to create a performance worthy of your eyes, and we undoubtedly need your support to find our identity on stage. We aim to ensure that the recently revived Niavaran Cultural Center hosts even more audiences and that this number continues to grow day by day. Without a doubt, you, our esteemed audience, are our ambassadors. Finally, I am deeply grateful to the producer of this play, Farhad Qaemian, who has been with me and the 2424 team every step of the way.”
