Farhad Ghaemian Appointed President of the Jury at the Kowsar Film Festival
According to Cinemadrame, Farhad Ghaemian, a well-known actor in cinema, television, and theater, and a member of the policy-making council of the 5th Kowsar International Film Festival, has been appointed as the president of the jury for this cultural and artistic event.
Nasser Bakideh, the festival’s secretary, issued a decree appointing Farhad Ghaemian as the president of the festival’s jury. The decree states: “The 5th Kowsar International Film Festival, as one of the cultural cinematic events focusing on the role of self-sacrificing women in cinema, will serve as a suitable platform for nurturing the talents of our committed filmmakers and introducing valuable international works, especially from the cinema of the Resistance countries.”
The decree further acknowledges Farhad Ghaemian’s valuable experiences in various cultural, artistic, and cinematic fields and expresses the hope that, with his effective participation and by utilizing the vast potential of cinema artists, the festival will manifest as a transcendent international event.
It is worth mentioning that last year, Farhad Ghaemian starred in two series, “Moshaver” and “Terror”, on Iran’s Channel One and Ofogh channels. Additionally, two unreleased films, “Heaven of Criminals” and “Heart of Raqqa”, which also feature him, are awaiting release. Farhad Ghaemian won the Best Supporting Actor Award for the film “Gharib” at the 41st Fajr International Film Festival.
The 5th Kowsar International Film Festival will be held in Tehran this summer, organized by the Foundation for the Verses of Sacrifice and Effort, in collaboration with the Tehran Municipality, The Image of the City Institute, The Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs, The Organization for Cinema Affairs, The Martyrs and Veterans Affairs Foundation, and Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), with the secretariat of Nasser Bakideh.
