Fired The Mandalorian Actress Thanks Elon Musk for Funding Lawsuit Against Disney

According to the CinemaDrame News Agency, Gina Carano, the actress fired from The Mandalorian, has thanked Elon Musk for “funding” her lawsuit against Disney.
Carano was removed from the series after comparing being a Republican in America to being Jewish in Nazi Germany, but with the support of the world’s richest man, she reached a settlement with Disney over the dispute. Last year, she sued Disney in California, claiming the studio had no right to terminate her.

On Thursday, the 43-year-old actress wrote on X:
“I want to sincerely thank Elon Musk, a man I’ve never met, someone who, like the ‘Good Samaritan,’ funded my lawsuit. I’m grateful to Mr. Musk and to X for supporting me in this case, and for expecting nothing in return. I look forward to turning the page and starting a new chapter. My passion for the arts remains, where I hope to meet you.”
The statement indicates that Carano and Disney have set aside their differences, and the studio is open to working with her again. Lucasfilm said in a statement:
“Ms. Carano has always been respected among directors, cast, and crew, and has worked hard to advance her career while treating her colleagues with respect and kindness. With the case closed, we look forward to finding opportunities to collaborate with Ms. Carano in the near future.”
Carano may appear alongside Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver in The Mandalorian and Grogu, which is scheduled for release next summer.
The case has not yet been officially closed and is set to go to trial in February.
