First Image from Globe Trotter: The Latest Film by S. S. Rajamouli
According to CinemaDrame News Agency, the first image from Globe Trotter, the latest project by S. S. Rajamouli following RRR, has been unveiled. Rajamouli released this image on social media to mark the fiftieth birthday of Mahesh Babu, the star of Globe Trotter.
Alongside the poster, which features a blood-soaked chest shot of the actor, Rajamouli confirmed that Globe Trotter will be revealed this November. The production began filming in April 2025 in exotic locations across Kenya and the Borra Caves in India. According to unofficial reports, the cast members have signed non-disclosure agreements, committing not to reveal the film’s storyline.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas, returning to Indian cinema for the first time since 2019, will also star in Globe Trotter. She recently appeared in Heads of State alongside John Cena and Idris Elba for Prime Video, and prior to that was seen in Citadel.
Filming will continue through 2026, with the release planned as two three-hour films in 2027.
Rajamouli’s RRR, released in 2022, not only garnered praise from filmmakers such as Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, and James Gunn, but also made it onto several critics’ lists of the year’s best films and became a streaming hit on Netflix.
