First Image of Anne Hathaway from The Devil Wears Prada 2 Set

According to CinemaDrame news agency, Anne Hathaway has confirmed the start of filming for “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” directed by David Frankel, by sharing a behind-the-scenes image of herself.

Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Simone Ashley, Pauline Chalamet, Helen J. Shen, Conrad Ricamora, and Caleb Hearon will also star in the sequel. Kenneth Branagh has joined the cast of the sequel to the 2006 film, playing the husband of Miranda Priestly, the formidable editor-in-chief of Runway magazine.

The first film, adapted from the novel of the same name, followed a woman named Andy, played by Hathaway, who joins a fashion magazine run by Miranda Priestly, played by Streep, after graduating with a journalism degree. That film grossed $326 million worldwide and earned Streep an Oscar nomination.

No official plot details for “The Devil Wears Prada 2” have been revealed yet. However, unofficial reports suggest that with the decline of the traditional publishing industry, Miranda Priestly embarks on a new path in advertising campaigns. She reportedly encounters her former assistant, who has now become an influential executive with substantial advertising budgets.

“The Devil Wears Prada 2” is set to be released on May 1, 2026.
