First Image of Rebecca Ferguson in A House of Dynamite Directed by Kathryn Bigelow
According to the CinemaDrame News Agency, Netflix has unveiled the first image of Rebecca Ferguson in the film A House of Dynamite, directed by Kathryn Bigelow. The image shows the Dune actress playing a U.S. government official making a phone call.
Bigelow’s first feature film since 2017’s Detroit depicts the White House’s response to missile attacks. The screenplay was written by Noah Oppenheim, former NBC News executive, and Jackie writer.
The cast includes Idris Elba, Greta Lee, Rebecca Ferguson, Anthony Ramos, Kaitlyn Dever, Tracy Letts, Jason Clarke, Gabriel Basso, Jared Harris, Moses Ingram, Brian Tee, and Kyle Allen.
Bigelow was initially set to direct a film called Aurora, but The New York Times reported she left the project due to funding issues. The 73-year-old filmmaker, known for Zero Dark Thirty and The Hurt Locker, has won the Academy Award for Best Director.
Netflix hopes to compete in the Oscars with the release of A House of Dynamite next October and its screenings at the Venice and New York fall festivals.
