First Look at Characters from Vought Rising
According to CinemaDrame News Agency, the first images have been released of Soldier Boy (played by Jensen Ackles), Bumsite (played by Mason Dye), Torpedo (played by Will Hawkmen), and Private Angel (played by Elizabeth Posey) in Prime Video’s Vought Rising. The series is a prequel to The Boys and was confirmed for production last year.
Vought Rising is described as a “complex murder mystery” set in the 1950s. Soldier Boy is the first American “Supe” created by Frederick Vought during World War II, while Stormfront was Vought’s first successful Compound V test subject.
In addition to Jensen Ackles, Aya Cash from The Boys will reprise her role as Stormfront. Other cast members include Jordan Myrie, Rickie Stafford, and Brian J. Smith.
Paul Grellong serves as executive producer and showrunner of Vought Rising, with Seth Rogen, Eric Kripke (showrunner of The Boys), and Evan Goldberg also serving as executive producers.
Production on the fifth and final season of The Boys has recently wrapped. The franchise has already spawned the spin-off Gen V as well as other spin-offs, including the animated series The Boys Presents: Diabolical, and The Boys: Mexico is currently in development.
