First Poster for Vince Gilligan’s Sci-Fi Series Starring Rhea Seehorn, Star of Better Call Saul

According to CinemaDrame news agency, Apple TV+ has unveiled the first poster for the new series by Vince Gilligan, creator of Breaking Bad, starring Rhea Seehorn, the star of Better Call Saul. Alongside the image, the network writes: “Happiness is contagious.”

The poster, currently untitled, shows a satellite dish against a yellow background and a hand drawing a smiling face. The phrase “From the creator of Breaking Bad” appears on the image. Apple has also released a video on YouTube featuring a countdown to next Friday, expected to mark the release of the series’ first teaser.

Production on the series was first confirmed in 2022, with Seehorn set to play the lead role across two seasons. The project was filmed in New Mexico and is being compared to Steven Spielberg’s E.T.

In an interview with Deadline, Seehorn explained that she cannot even reveal the title or storyline: “It’s sci-fi but a kind of psychological sci-fi.”

Gilligan added: “I’m excited for audiences to see Rhea in a role very different from Better Call Saul. She plays a woman who’s trying hard to be a good person. More or less a damaged hero, but a hero nonetheless. Working with her is a joy because she’s the best—very kind and talented. No matter what I say, it won’t be enough.”

Seehorn says, “It includes some of the things audiences loved about his writing—rich characters—but on the other hand, he plays with clichés, genres, and tone, subverting them. For example, he injects humor in a very dark moment—this new series goes to places that are deeply thoughtful and sometimes upsetting, and other times, very, very funny.”

Gilligan will serve as showrunner and executive producer through his company, Bridge Productions.
