For Ava competes at the Delhi International Women’s Film Festival

According to cinemadrame, the film For Ava, produced by Frank Frotten and directed by Mohsen Seraji, tells the story of Iranian-Afghan girls. The film is competing in the feature film competition at the 2nd Delhi International Women’s Film Festival in India.

For Ava, which had previously been showcased at the 54th Goa International Film Festival in India and won the Best Feature Film Award at the Ahmedabad and Shimla Festivals in India, will be screened again in India. This year’s Delhi International Women’s Film Festival hosts works from Asian, European, African, and American countries.

The feature film For Ava will be judged in the international competition. This 110-minute film, categorized as a children’s and youth genre, addresses the concerns of Iranian-Afghan teenage girls. The film aims to depict the efforts of these girls to achieve their desires in a tragicomedy setting.

For Ava tells the story of a teenage theater group who unite to solve the problem of their lead actress, Ava, an Iranian-Afghan girl, and make great sacrifices for her.

In its latest international appearance, the film was nominated for Best Feature Film at the 8th Golden Crow International Film Festival in Russia, and it won the Best Film Award at the 4th Madrid International Film Festival.

Mehdi Zamimpour, Negar Abedi, Reza Jahani, Frank Frotten, Mohammad Hadi Ataei, and Reyhaneh Yazdaniar, alongside the young actors, are featured in the film.

Abdulkader Taha Zadeh is the director of photography, Shervin Mani’i is the editor, Arash Qasemi is the sound designer, and Sepehr Seraji is the composer. The young cast of For Ava includes Hediyeh Zaman, Aida Moradi, Saba Ahmadi, Regina Alipour, Parasto Zaki Zadeh, Parnia Abedi, Neda Mahjoub, and Martiya Ghalij, all of whom are acting in front of the camera for the first time.
