Former “Superman” Actor to Join ICE for Deporting Immigrants from the U.S.

According to the CinemaDrame News Agency, Dean Cain, the former actor who played Superman in the series Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, says he will soon join the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to help deport illegal immigrants.
Cain told Fox News on Wednesday night this week that he will soon take the oath to join the agency: “Yesterday, I posted a recruitment video. I’m actually a sheriff’s deputy, a sworn sheriff’s deputy, and a reserve police officer.” He added that after receiving a positive response to the video, he contacted ICE officers and will be sworn in as an ICE agent.
Cain said he is hesitant about participating in ICE raids in California that have frightened immigrants, but if asked, he will respond immediately. He expressed hope that ICE will complete its staffing and “save this country.”
The 59-year-old actor had criticized the new Superman movie last month, saying that James Gunn should not have claimed the story was about an “immigrant.” He told TMZ: “You can’t come and say, ‘I don’t want to get rid of all American laws because I want to live more like Somali people.’ That doesn’t work, because you had to leave Somalia to get here… There have to be limits, because we can’t have just anyone in the United States. We can’t have everyone; society will collapse. So, there have to be limits.”
