Harrison Ford: The Rich Get Richer, and the Poor Get Poorer

According to Cinemadrame News Agency, Harrison Ford, star of Indiana Jones, Blade Runner, and Star Wars, spoke in a new interview with Variety about a potential second term for Donald Trump and expressed his regret that “the poor are getting poorer.”
Ford said:
“In politics and in life, you don’t always get what you want, and when you’re given what you’re going to get, you shouldn’t be upset about it. That’s what they taught us in kindergarten. But on the other hand, they also taught us to fight for what we believe is right.”
He continued:
“Now, because we’re so divided, it’s hard to find our common ground. But if you look at the economy, you’ll see where that common ground is—it’s the same place it’s always been: the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer. And that’s not really right.”
Last year, Ford recorded a video in support of Kamala Harris, saying:
“When multiple former Trump administration officials warn, ‘For God’s sake, don’t do this again,’ we ought to pay attention. They’re telling us something important. These aren’t soft people. They’re governors and generals who stood by a party leader they’d devoted their lives to.”
In response to Variety’s question about what should be done moving forward, Ford said:
“You’re asking someone who isn’t qualified. I don’t know the answer.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Ford said he has no intention of retiring from acting:
“One of the nice things about acting, in my view, is that they need old people too, to play old characters.”
