“Ice Barbie” Is South Park’s New Target in Season 27

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, the animated series South Park takes aim at U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem in the second episode of its twenty-seventh season. The show’s social media accounts have posted images from this week’s episode, showing Noem—nicknamed “Ice Barbie”—in her signature look, armed and standing beside a border patrol van.

In the episode, set to air Wednesday night, Mr. Mackey struggles to find a way to make a living. The longtime elementary school counselor is depicted in a new image wearing the uniform of a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent.

Noem, former governor of South Dakota and a staunch Trump supporter, confessed in her memoir to shooting her untrainable family dog. After joining the Trump administration, she became responsible for enforcing the president’s policies on undocumented immigrants and their removal from the U.S.

The first episode of South Park, which aired two weeks ago on Comedy Central, depicted Trump in bed with the Devil. That episode—which became the show’s highest-rated season premiere since 1999—included shocking images of the U.S. president displayed on the walls of the White House.

The official account of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security shared an image from the new South Park episode, encouraging Americans to join the agency. Following this, the South Park account responded: “Wait, so our show is connected to reality?”

Taylor Rogers, deputy press secretary at the White House, commented after the premiere, saying South Park has never had any relation to reality: “For over 20 years, this show has been out of touch [with reality] and has survived on tedious ideas that only prove its desperate need for attention. President Trump has fulfilled more promises in six months than any president in our nation’s history—and no fourth-rate TV show can derail his path to success.”
