Lindsay Lohan: I Moved to Dubai to Experience a Normal Life

According to Cinemadrame News Agency, Lindsay Lohan, the actress from the film Mean Girls, said in a recent interview on ABC’s “Live with Kelly and Mark” that she moved from America to Dubai to get away from Hollywood and “experience a normal life.”

The 39-year-old actress explains why she has chosen to live in Dubai since 2014:
“It’s so far away from Hollywood, and I have a very normal life. I don’t have the anxiety of not being able to go out to eat because someone might take a photo of my son… I feel safe.”

Lohan, who married Bader Shammas, a Kuwaiti, in 2022, says that according to Dubai law, no one can take pictures of others without their consent:
“You have to ask people, and that’s a big difference compared to here. Privacy matters.”
However, she says that the taste of pizza in Dubai is still not better than in New York.

Previously, in an interview with Elle, she had talked about the difficulties of raising a child in Los Angeles:
“It’s hard in Los Angeles. Even just taking my son to the park in L.A., I get anxious. I think, ‘Is there a camera?’”

Starting August 8, Lohan’s new film, Freakier Friday, will be released in U.S. theaters.
