“Mortal Kombat 2” Official Trailer and New Character Posters Released

According to cinemadrame news agency, the official trailer for “Mortal Kombat 2,” directed by Australian filmmaker Simon McQuoid, has been unveiled. “Mortal Kombat 2” is a sequel to the 2021 film, which was released simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max, grossing $84 million. In addition to revealing the trailer, Warner Bros. Studio has released several new character posters for the film on social media.

In “Mortal Kombat 2,” Karl Urban will appear as Johnny Cage, Tati Gabrielle as Jade, Hong Kong actress and model Adeline Rudolph as Kitana, Martyn Ford as Shao Kahn, Damon Herriman as Quan Chi, Desmond Chiam as King Jerrod, and Ana Thu Nguyen as Queen Sindel.

In the first installment (“Mortal Kombat”), Ludi Lin was introduced as Liu Kang, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion, Josh Lawson as Kano, Tadanobu Asano as Raiden, Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Sisi Stringer as Mileena, and Lewis Tan as the character Cole Young.

In the second installment, former MMA fighter Cole Young, played by Lewis Tan, after a bloody rampage with Hanzo Hasashi (Scorpion), travels to Los Angeles to find new allies, including Johnny Cage.

“Mortal Kombat 2” is set to be released on October 24.
