Nikita Mikhalkov Expresses Solidarity with Iranian Filmmakers

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, renowned Russian filmmaker Nikita Mikhalkov has issued a statement responding to the crimes committed by the Zionist regime during the 12-day war.
In his message, the Oscar-winning actor and director addresses Iranian filmmakers as follows:
“My dear friends, colleagues, and Iranian filmmakers!
First of all, I wish to express my profound respect for you, for Iranian cinema—this great cinema—
and also for the entire magnificent, millennia-old culture of Iran.I wish to express my deepest sympathy to you, who are facing a horrific and unjust aggression from Israel, which seeks to subjugate the Iranian people, Iranian culture, and Iran as a whole to its will. In my view, this is both impossible and must never come to pass.”
In the concluding part of his message, released by the Public Relations Office of the Cinema Organization, Mikhalkov adds:
“Once again, I invite you to take part in the Eurasian Cinema Academy, which we are organizing, as a stand against the dominance of Hollywood, which, in my opinion, destroys all human values and traditions. We must unite. I await you with an open heart and open arms—together with your films, and with your presence on the festival’s red carpet and for the Diamond Butterfly Award of the Eurasian Cinema Academy.”
