Official Title Announced for Fourth “Meet the Parents” Film: “Focker-in-Law”
According to CinemaDrame news agency, Universal Pictures has revealed the official title for the fourth installment of the Meet the Parents franchise. Written and directed by John Hamburg, the new film will be titled Focker-in-Law.
Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Teri Polo, Blythe Danner, and Owen Wilson are set to reprise their iconic roles, while Ariana Grande, Skyler Gisondo, and Beanie Feldstein will join the cast as new additions to the franchise.
The Meet the Parents series centers on awkward and comedic family dynamics, following male nurse Greg Focker (played by Stiller) as he navigates his relationships with his in-laws, especially his intimidating father-in-law Jack Byrnes (De Niro), a former CIA operative. Teri Polo returns as Greg’s wife Pam, while Owen Wilson once again plays Kevin, Pam’s ex-boyfriend. Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand previously appeared as Greg’s eccentric parents.
The original film premiered in 2000 and grossed over $330 million worldwide. Its sequels, Meet the Fockers (2004) and Little Fockers (2010), brought the franchise’s global box office to $1.3 billion.
Universal has set Meet the Parents 4 for release on November 25, 2026.
