Oman’s Participation in Tehran Book Fair a Major Cultural Achievement

According to Cinemadrame, quoting the public relations office of the Tehran International Book Fair, Mohammed Obaid Al-Maskari, the representative of the Ministry of Culture of Oman, highlighted the friendly and cordial relations between the people of Iran and Oman. He mentioned that Oman participated in the 35th edition of the Tehran International Book Fair with over 168 titles covering various topics, including religious sciences, history, and Omani culture. The fair was well-received, with Iranian visitors engaging with representatives of Oman’s Ministry of Culture, asking questions about Oman and the books on display.

Al-Maskari emphasized that participating in the Tehran Book Fair is a significant cultural achievement for Oman and other countries. He noted that the Ministry of Culture of Oman has participated in over 200 international book fairs, and each year, a delegation is sent to Tehran, helping strengthen cultural ties and providing valuable experience. He added that the Tehran Book Fair serves as a bridge for cultural exchanges between Oman and Iran, and cultural officials from both countries should take advantage of this opportunity by increasing efforts to translate more books into both languages.

Furthermore, Al-Maskari highlighted the importance of communication in cultural development, stating that effective communication is essential for the growth of various sectors, including the international section of the book fair. He emphasized that the significance of communication in the era of information should not be overlooked and that ongoing efforts by cultural officials to organize the fair should be acknowledged. He suggested that activities and accomplishments related to the fair should be shared through organized programs such as publications like Ketabina, virtual channels, and daily news releases.

He also stressed the importance of timely communication in the international section of the fair, which can help improve cultural exchanges. Al-Maskari suggested that providing information about various events, sessions, and discussions in advance would facilitate better cultural collaboration. Additionally, he advocated for the use of digital platforms such as weekly or monthly bulletins, electronic journals, podcasts, video clips, and social media to enhance awareness and encourage participation in the international section of the book fair.
