Pedro Pascal’s Stylist Received Death Threats and Stepped Down

According to CinemaDrame news agency, Julia Ragolia, a New York-based stylist, says she has ended her collaboration with Pedro Pascal after receiving death threats. She announced the termination of their partnership in an email to GQ magazine.

Ragolia, whom Esquire magazine calls a “menswear mastermind,” wrote in the email: “I’m a storyteller, and I told a story about how men of a certain age can still be attractive. After the Cannes Film Festival, it was a good time to end the collaboration.”

In the letter, Ragolia does not specify the reason for ending the collaboration, but in recent weeks, she had spoken about the negative reactions from Pascal’s fans regarding his outfits. Last April, after Pascal appeared on stage at a “Star Wars” event in Japan wearing Acne Studios shorts, she wrote: “One of you issued a death warrant for me because you didn’t like Pedro’s outfit. I don’t even want to comment on personal taste or individual decisions. I just want you to reflect on your obsession.”

She continued in another tweet: “Pedro is a grown adult and has his own opinion about what he likes and what makes him feel good. Stylists are not dictators. We collaborate. Thank you for asking how it works.”

Ragolia, who has previously worked with Riz Ahmed and LaKeith Stanfield, two years ago responded to a tweet from “Bustle” about Pascal’s appearance at the Met Gala, which read: “Every time Pedro Pascal wears a slutty little boot, an angel gets its wings.” She jokingly replied: “Hi, I’m Julie, the slutty cut-out boot from 2023.”

The actor from “The Last of Us,” “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” and “Eddington” will now be working with Los Angeles-based stylist Jamie Mizrahi, who has a history of collaborating with Dakota Johnson, Adele, and Jeremy Allen White.
