Playwriting competition in the Resistance Theater Festival.

An announcement for artists to participate in the playwriting competition of the 19th International Resistance Theater Festival has been published.
According to Cinemadrame and the public relations of the 19th International Resistance Theater Festival, the announcement for artists to participate in the playwriting competition was released on Monday, 11th of Shahrivar (September 2).
The playwriting competition of the 19th International Resistance Theater Festival will be held in two sections: “Adaptation and the Biographies of Martyrs” and “Children and Adolescents.”
In the “Adaptation and Biographies of Martyrs” section, books published by the “Revayat Fath” publishing house, the names of which are listed in the main announcement of this section, are suggested as the basis for adaptations by applicants.
According to an agreement between the secretariat of the 19th International Resistance Theater Festival and Revayat Fath Publishing, writers participating in the competition do not need to obtain permission from the authors of the books introduced by the festival. However, if the writers use any of the books introduced by the festival, they must mention the full details of the book on the first page of their play.
The books recommended for adaptation for the playwriting competition are also listed in the full announcement. Applicants can obtain the recommended books by visiting the Revayat Fath Publishing’s online portal at www.revayatfath.ir.
The “Children and Adolescents” section of the playwriting competition of the 19th International Resistance Theater Festival will focus on themes such as “The Concept of Resistance,” “Martyrs of the Youth of the Sacred Defense, Resistance Front, and Palestine,” and “The Epic of Youth Fighters of the Sacred Defense, Resistance Front, and Palestine.”
As previously announced, the organizing committee of the festival, with the opinion of the jury, will award the “Special Prize of Martyr Al-Quds Ismail Haniyeh” to the best play related to the children of Gaza and the brutal killings by the Zionist regime.
According to the announced schedule, the deadline for submitting works in this section is 5th of Azar (November 26, 2024), and the final winners will be announced at the closing ceremony of the 19th International Resistance Theater Festival.
The 19th International Resistance Theater Festival will be held in the fall and winter of 2024, under the direction of Mohammad Kazem Tabar, in Tehran and other cities across the country.
