Renée Victor, “Weeds” Actress and “Coco” Voice Actor, Dies

According to cinemadrame News Agency, Renée Victor, the voice actor for “Abuelita” in the animated film “Coco” and actress who played “Lupita” in Showtime’s series “Weeds,” has passed away at 86.
Victor was born in San Antonio, Texas, and moved to Los Angeles in the 1960s. She began her career singing and teaching dance, traveling worldwide with her husband for live performances until the early 1970s.
She joined the Screen Actors Guild in 1973, and a decade later, she appeared in series such as “Scarecrow” and “Matlock.” Victor had acting credits in films like “The Doctor” starring William Hurt and “A Night in Old Mexico” with Robert Duvall.
“Mayans M.C.,” “Snowpiercer,” “Vida,” and “Dead to Me” were Victor’s last television roles.
