Siavash Deihami Passes Away

According to cinemadrame News Agency, Siavash Deihami, a veteran teacher and player of the Tar and Setar, passed away on the evening of May 24 (Khordad 4).

Siavash Deihami, an artist from Hamadan and a prominent figure in the country’s music and literature, died at the age of 85.

Born in 1940 (1319 in the Persian calendar), Deihimi was active in the fields of poetry and music since the 1950s, and many students were introduced to this art by the late artist. He composed over 100 traditional music pieces. The book “Where Else Do I Go Besides You, My Love” (Gheyr Az To Koja Soragh Daram Ey Eshgh) is among Deihami’s lasting works. Additionally, the book “Thirty-Five Pieces for Tar and Setar” (Si-o Panj Ghat’e Baraye Tar va Setar) by this artist was unveiled in 2023 (1402 in the Persian calendar) through the efforts of the Hamadan General Directorate of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the cooperation of the House of Poetry and Literature.
