Sophie Turner to Play Kit Harington’s Lover in “The Dreadful”

According to CinemaDrame news agency, Sophie Turner says she’ll be playing Kit Harington’s lover in the gothic film “The Dreadful.” The two previously played siblings Sansa Stark and Jon Snow for eight seasons in the fantasy series “Game of Thrones.”
Written and directed by Iranian-American filmmaker Natasha Kermani, the film’s story is set during England’s “Wars of the Roses” from 1455 to 1485. It follows a woman named Anne, played by Turner, who struggles to make ends meet with her mother-in-law, Morwen, on the fringes of society. However, when a man from their past, played by Harington, returns, it sets off events that transform Anne’s life.
Turner told Vogue, “Last year, I made a movie with my very good, old friend Kit Harington, who played my brother in ‘Game of Thrones,’ which I’m very excited about. It’s a gothic horror film… but we’re playing each other’s lovers.” She jokingly apologized to “Game of Thrones” viewers, saying, “Sorry, guys. We all felt weird about it.”
“Game of Thrones” featured numerous incestuous scenes, with some fans even speculating that Snow and Sansa might be involved in one during the final seasons. However, the eighth season revealed they had a different familial connection.
In 2016, Turner told Access Hollywood that she didn’t expect to film any romantic scenes with Harington: “There’s no way I’d be able to do those kind of scenes with Kit.”
