According to cinemadrame, the short film Suicide in the Nietzschean Style, written and directed by Payam Kordestani and produced by Payam Kordestani and Bahman Rezaei, was filmed at the Ghaazali Film Studios. The film is competing in the short film section of the 43rd Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) alongside works from around the world.
The 43rd edition of the Vancouver International Film Festival will be held from September 26 to October 6 (from the 5th to the 15th of Mehr in the Iranian calendar) in Vancouver, Canada.
This artistic event aims to increase mutual understanding between nations through cinema, promote the art of filmmaking, create connections among industry professionals, and advance cinema. Annually, for 10 days, it brings together cinema enthusiasts from around the world.
The Vancouver International Film Festival, which started in 1982, is recognized by the Canadian Screen Awards and is considered one of the world’s top-tier A-list film festivals.
The cast of the film includes Bakhtiyar Panjayi, Farshid Goyli, Osveh Sadeghi, Saeed Ahmadi, Mohammadroouf Mohammadi, and Maryam Bobani.
The film’s synopsis reads: “When the only midwife in the city decides to commit suicide…”
