Sydney Sweeney Rumored to Join The Devil Wears Prada 2

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, despite recent controversy surrounding her involvement in American Eagle promotions, Sydney Sweeney continues to line up new projects. Last week, rumors emerged that the 27-year-old Euphoria star would be among the new cast members of The Devil Wears Prada 2.
On social media platform X, photos surfaced allegedly showing Sweeney leaving a trailer. In the images, she is wearing a hoodie, sunglasses, and carrying a large umbrella in an apparent attempt to conceal her identity. She appears alongside Emily Blunt, who is set to reprise her role as Emily Charlton.
Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B. J. Novak, Simone Ashley, Pauline Chalamet, Helen G. Shen, Conrad Ricamora, and Caleb Hearon also star in the sequel. Kenneth Branagh joins the cast as the husband of Miranda Priestly, the formidable editor-in-chief of Runway magazine.
The first film, based on the novel of the same name, followed a young woman named Andy (Anne Hathaway), who, fresh out of journalism school, lands a job at a fashion magazine run by Miranda Priestly (Streep). The 2006 hit grossed $326 million worldwide and earned Streep an Academy Award nomination.
While no official plot details for The Devil Wears Prada 2 have been released, unofficial reports suggest that Miranda Priestly, facing the decline of traditional publishing, embarks on a new path in advertising campaigns, clashing with her former assistant — now a powerful executive controlling vast marketing budgets.
Last week, additional on-set images of Anne Hathaway surfaced, showing her filming alongside Patrick Brammall.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is slated for release on May 1, 2026.
