Taylor Swift’s 12th Album Reveal on YouTube Outperforms Trump’s Interview with Joe Rogan

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Taylor Swift unveiled her twelfth studio album on Wednesday night during an episode of the New Heights podcast alongside her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and Jason Kelce. The nearly two-hour episode drew over 1.3 million viewers on YouTube, surpassing the viewership of Donald Trump’s interview with Joe Rogan, which had 800,000 views.

The Daily Beast reported that Swift’s interview reached 9 million YouTube views within 13 hours, while Trump’s interview with Rogan garnered 26 million views in its first 24 hours. Meanwhile, the episode boosted the podcast’s channel subscribers from 2.85 million to nearly 3 million.

Rogan’s 2018 interview with Elon Musk remains his most-watched podcast episode, with more than 69 million views, while his conversation with Trump has around 59 million.

In this interview, Swift not only revealed her album Life of a Showgirl and its tracklist but also disclosed her collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter. One of the songs, titled “Elizabeth Taylor,” pays tribute to the iconic Hollywood star of decades past.

Speaking about Life of a Showgirl, Swift said:

“This album is about what was happening behind the scenes in my inner life during the course of this tour—a behind-the-scenes that was exhilarating, kinetic, and vibrant. It comes from the most dramatic, unbelievable, and joyful moments of my life, moments that radiated outwards to others. That vitality is in this album, and as [Kelce] said… it’s loud.”

Swift’s support for Kamala Harris during last year’s U.S. presidential election did not sit well with Trump. At the time, he wrote in all caps on his Truth Social account: “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT.” In May of this year, Trump posted another message saying: “Have you noticed that since I said: ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT’ she’s had no ‘appeal’?”
