The commemoration ceremony and unveiling of the bust of Nasser Hoshmand Vaziri will be held at the House of Artists of Iran.

According to cinemadrame, the commemoration and unveiling ceremony of the bust of the late sculptor Nasser Hoshmand Vaziri, founder of the Vaziri Cave Museum, will be held by the Association of Convergence of Iranian Civilizational Heritages, headed by Nader Karimian Shashtari, a faculty member of the Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and Tourism, with management by Rama Hoshamand Vaziri and secretariat by Davood Miri Atashgah, on Tuesday, December 25, 2024.

The Iranian Sculptors Association, Roudaki Cultural and Artistic Foundation, ICOM Protection Group (National Committee of Iranian Museums), the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism, the Institute of Veteran Artists of Iran, and the Department of Environment will cooperate in organizing the event.

Nasser Hoshmand Vaziri, a graduate in sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran in 1970, created a stone sculpture for his bachelor project, which is still in the department’s workshop. In 1976, he was invited to create stone sculptures for Jamshidieh Park, and 50 of his sculptures are located in this park in Tehran. Around 800 works of art by the artist, made from materials such as wood, metal, fiberglass, and recycled plastic, are present. Vaziri was the founder of Iran’s only private museum, the Vaziri Cave Museum, located in the Lavasan mountains near Tehran. His famous works can still be found in parks such as Jamshidieh, Saei, Mellat, and Pardisan in Tehran, Barajin in Qazvin, the Falak-ol-Aflak Castle, the Zanjan Laundry Museum, Lalejin in Hamadan, as well as in Ahvaz and Mahshahr.

The commemoration ceremony and unveiling of the bust of Professor Nasser Hoshmand Vaziri will take place on Tuesday, December 25, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM in the Shahnaz Hall of the House of Artists of Iran.
