The Office Spin-Off: First Trailer for The Paper Released

According to the CinemaDrame News Agency, Peacock Network has unveiled the first official trailer for the series The Paper, produced by Greg Daniels and Michael Schur. This series is a spin-off of the American version of The Office, but features a new cast, with Oscar Nunez reprising his role as Oscar Martinez.

The series synopsis reads:
“When the documentary crew that immortalized the Scranton branch of the Dunder Mifflin paper company searches for a new subject, they discover a historic but struggling newspaper in the Midwest, while the publisher tries to revive it with volunteer reporters.”

The cast includes Domhnall Gleeson, star of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and Sabrina Impacciatore, from the series The White Lotus, along with Melvin Gregg, Chelsea Frei, Ramona Young, Alex Edelman, Tim Kai, Eric Rahiel, Dedwin Shepard Sr., Nate Jackson, Ellen Huie, Mo Welsh, Nancy Nenhan, Tracy Letts, Mali Afraim, Bemisola Ikumelo, and Oscar Nunez, who reprises his role as Oscar Martinez.

NBC’s The Office was a remake of a British series of the same name, written by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. The American version aired from 2005 to 2013, with Steve Carell starring as Michael Scott.

The Paper will premiere on Peacock on September 4.
