The play “Triangle” is coming to Rasht.

The play “Triangle” will be performed in Rasht from 7th to 11th of Dey (December 28th to January 1st), following 10 months of continuous performances in Tehran.

According to Cinemadrame, “Triangle”, which has already been staged in Tehran, Mashhad, and Kerman, has passed 234 performances and attracted over 30,000 viewers, earning the title of the highest-rated play on the Tiwall website from the audience’s perspective in the years 2022 and 2023.

Written by Qais Yasaqi, Mohammadjavad Mahdiyan, and Foad Zidanlouie, and directed by Qais Yasaqi, the play is now produced by Amir Mousa Kazemi and will visit the art-loving people of Rasht.

Mohammadjavad Mahdiyan and Qais Yasaqi will perform as voice actors and puppeteers in the play. “Triangle” has won various awards, including “Best Adaptation” from the Popland Festival in Kazakhstan, Best Play and Best Puppetry awards from the Iranian Puppeteers Association, and nominations for Best Text, Best Music, and Best Voice Acting at the 19th International Tehran Puppet Theater Festival.

The summary of the play, which is a 40-minute parody of Shakespeare’s works, is as follows: “Every kingdom has a king, and every king has a traitor. ‘Triangle’ tells the story of a loyal man’s betrayal of his king, a king’s betrayal of a loyal man, and a woman’s betrayal of both the man and the king. A treacherous triangle occurs in the heart of a shopping mall.”
