The short film “Kor” has been invited to Telluride.
The short film “Kor” directed by Saman Hosseinpour has been selected for the 51st Telluride Film Festival in the United States.
According to CinemaDrame, “Kor”, directed by Saman Hosseinpour and produced by Philippe Rittler and Saman Hosseinpour, is a joint production between Iran and Switzerland. It has made its way to the prestigious 51st Telluride Film Festival in the United States as part of its global journey.
The Telluride International Film Festival is known as one of the most important and reputable cinematic events, famous for its unique approach to the festival and its practice of not announcing the selected films until the event itself. Many films showcased at Telluride have received various awards at the Oscars, and the festival has become a gathering place for the best films of the year and their creators, making it highly significant for filmmakers.
The 51st Telluride Film Festival will be held from August 30 to September 2, 2024 (9th to 12th of Shahrivar 1403) in Telluride, Colorado, USA.
“Kor” was produced in collaboration with the Swiss company Dynamic Frame and has previously been selected for several international festivals, including the 24th Alternative Film Festival in Seoul, South Korea; the 25th Lucania Film Festival in Italy; the 22nd Novia Film Festival in Brazil; and the 64th Zlín Film Festival for Children and Youth.
“Kor”, spelled correctly as “Koṛ” in Kurdish, means “boy.” The film tells the story of a mother who sets out to find her soldier son and discovers a great secret along the way.
The cast of the film includes Maryam Bobani, Kianoush Farzin, Mahvash Sheikhi, Kourosh Ahmadi, Matin Kheybli, and Omar Mohammadi.
