Timothée Chalamet to Star in James Mangold’s High Side

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Timothée Chalamet will reunite with James Mangold in the crime thriller High Side following their collaboration on A Complete Unknown. The latter film, in which Chalamet portrays Bob Dylan, received eight Academy Award nominations.

High Side, adapted from a short story by Jamie Oliveira, tells the story of a former MotoGP rider named Billy, who cannot let go of the career-ending crash that haunts him and is drawn back into the perilous world of motorcycle racing. After stepping away from the sport, Billy cares for his addicted father, until one day he is surprised by the return of his older brother, Cole. On the run from the FBI, Cole asks Billy to use his skills in a bank heist and assembles a team that includes a woman with whom Billy falls in love. But as they prepare for their biggest robbery during a motorcycle parade, an FBI agent named Lennox—who has a complicated history with Cole—stands in their way.

Chalamet is currently filming Dune: Part Three directed by Denis Villeneuve, and will appear in Josh Safdie’s Marty Supreme, which opens in theaters this December.

The director of Ford v Ferrari is also working on several other projects, including a “top-secret” Netflix project, Swamp Things, a Buster Keaton biopic for 20th Century Studios, a Star Wars film, and a Shakespeare-inspired feature titled Juliet.
