Timothy Olyphant Confirms Return for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Sequel
According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Timothy Olyphant has confirmed that he will appear in the sequel to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The film, titled The Continuing Adventures of Cliff Booth, will be shot in Los Angeles under the direction of David Fincher.
In the sequel, Brad Pitt’s character is introduced as a fixer working behind the scenes to resolve problems for Hollywood studios. In Quentin Tarantino’s film and novel, he was portrayed as a war hero, stuntman, and possible killer. Elizabeth Debicki plays a woman named Roberta, the manager of a bar. Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Scott Caan, and J. B. Tadena also star. Leonardo DiCaprio’s character, Rick Dalton, is expected to appear in the film.
Olyphant, who portrayed James Stacy in the first installment, revealed his return during an interview on the Conan O’Brien podcast: “Yes. I’m in it.” When the hosts asked if he wanted that portion of the interview cut to avoid spoiling his comeback, he replied, “I don’t know… let me think about it.” He then joked that he wasn’t “100 percent sure” he would be back, but as far as he knew, he would be. Olyphant claimed he was told a few weeks ago that he would return, though he has not yet received final confirmation.
The Continuing Adventures of Cliff Booth will be released on Netflix.
