Toronto International Film Festival Unveils 50th Edition Lineup: Good Fortune, Christy, and Sacrifice Among Selections
According to CinemaDrame news agency, The lineup for the 50th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has been released, featuring a diverse range of films from around the globe. Notable selections include Aziz Ansari’s Good Fortune starring Seth Rogen and Keanu Reeves, Benny Safdie’s The Smashing Machine with Dwayne Johnson, Sydney Sweeney’s Christy, Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, and Bobby Farrelly’s Driver’s Ed.
Several films previously showcased at Sundance and Cannes will also make their way to TIFF, such as Scarlett Johansson’s Eleanor the Great and Gus Van Sant’s Dead Man’s Wire. They join Jafar Panahi’s It Was Just an Accident, Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value, and Richard Linklater’s Nouvelle Vague.
The festival will also host the cast and crew of the third Knives Out installment, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, along with Chloé Zhao’s Hamnet, Roofman starring Kirsten Dunst and Channing Tatum, and Steven Soderbergh’s The Christophers.
The 50th Toronto International Film Festival will take place from September 4 to 14 (Shahrivar 13 to 23, 1404 in the Persian calendar).
