Trailer for Ella McCay: James L. Brooks’s First Film in 15 Years

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, the official trailer for Ella McCay, the first film from James L. Brooks in 15 years, has been released. The film stars Emma Mackey, Woody Harrelson, Ayo Edebiri, Kumail Nanjiani, Jamie Lee Curtis, Albert Brooks, and Rebecca Hall.
Ella McCay tells the story of a young, idealistic politician, played by Emma Mackey, who must overcome personal and professional challenges as she prepares to succeed her mentor as governor.
Brooks is producing the film with Julie Ansell, Richard Sakai, and Seth Meyers, under Gracie Films. His last directorial work was the 2010 comedy How Do You Know, starring Owen Wilson and Reese Witherspoon.
The director of Terms of Endearment, Broadcast News, and As Good as It Gets previously told People he hopes to bring Jack Nicholson back to acting: “I hope so. He’s an actor I want… I love the man. America loves the man. He’s a lovely guy.”
Disney will release Ella McCay on December 12.
