Trailer for Part Two of Wednesday Season Two

[Contains spoilers for Season Two of Wednesday]

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, fans of Netflix’s Wednesday series were surprised by the return of a character from the first season. Gwendoline Christie, who plays Larissa Weems, is set to return after her seemingly “pointless” death in Season One. She will appear in the final four episodes of Season Two, which are scheduled for release in September.

The former Game of Thrones star confirmed her return during a promotional event in Australia alongside Jenna Ortega and Emma Myers. The trailer for Part Two of Season Two of Wednesday, released just minutes ago, offers the first glimpse of Larissa Weems’ comeback.

In Sydney, when fans reacted with shock upon seeing Christie, she asked: “Do you really think Nevermore would let me go so easily? I never left. I just wasn’t watching.” She went on to add that this season “explores another spectrum of Larissa Weems’ suffering.”

Wednesday is a spin-off of The Addams Family and follows Wednesday Addams, played by Ortega, at Nevermore Academy, where she learns to harness her supernatural abilities.

Alfred Gough and Miles Millar will serve as showrunners for the second season, and Tim Burton will return to direct four episodes. Netflix has already renewed the series for a third season.

Steve Buscemi (The Big Lebowski), Billie Piper (Scoop), Evie Templeton (Return to Silent Hill), Owen Painter (Tiny Beautiful Things), Lady Gaga, and Noah Taylor (Law & Order: Organized Crime) are among the new cast members joining Season Two, alongside Joy Sunday, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Moosa Mostafa, Victor Dorobantu, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Isaac Ordonez.

Part One of Season Two of Wednesday will premiere on August 6, 2025.
