Trailer for Swiped: Lily James as a young billionaire
According to CinemaDrame News Agency, the first official trailer for Swiped, starring Lily James as the CEO of Bumble, has been released. The film will be distributed by 20th Century Studios and will stream on Hulu and Disney+ starting September 19.
In Swiped, Lily James portrays Whitney Wolfe Herd, who launches a global, innovative dating app within the male-dominated tech industry. The film depicts how the Bumble platform turned Wolfe into the world’s youngest self-made billionaire. Swiped will focus on Wolfe’s tenure at Tinder and the launch of Bumble in 2021.
The cast also includes Jackson White, Ben Schnetzer, Pierson Fodé, Clea DuVall, Pedro Correa, Ian Colletti, Coral Peña, Dan Stevens, Larkin Woodward, Olivia Rose Keegan, Julie Fischer, and Gabe Kessler.
The film is directed by Rachel Lee Goldenberg, whose credits include Unpregnant and the series Minx. Chanda Dancy serves as composer, Doug Emmett as cinematographer, and Julia Wong as editor.
Swiped will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and will be released on September 9.
